Obama Starts Out With Near-Record Approval
A Gallup survey found 68 percent of Americans approve of Obama's performance as the nation's chief executive. That's near the high end for new presidents, but short of President John F. Senate OKs Bill To Bolster Equal Pay
As part of its opening act, the Senate plans to clear a bill aimed at helping workers fight pay discrimination. It was inspired by an Alabama woman who sued the tire plant where she worked 20 years after learning that men in her position got higher paychecks. The bill may void a Supreme Court ruling that she should have sued much sooner.
